Candidate & Employee FAQs

1. How will OnEmployers benefit me?
  • Creating an OnEmployers account will help you share information with candidates and employees like yourself. If you are looking to apply for a job, employee and candidate feedback about potential employers can help you find the right company for you. If you are already an employee, OnEmployers will benefit you by allowing you to send anonymous feedback to your employer.

2. How is OnEmployers different?
  • OnEmployers is focused on candidate and employee satisfaction. We believe that confidentiality and useful candidate end employee feedback are essential in helping employees modify their staffing practices to benefit individuals. Candidates and employees can share their experiences to help others. A main goal of this service is to help individuals and employers do things better and encourage a reliable and confidential exchange of information.

3. What does OnEmployers do with my account information?
  • All account information is confidential and only visible to OnEmployers staff. It is kept on file in case we need to contact you. OnEmployers will never disclose or sell any information without prior consent. OnEmployers may prompt you to disclose your contact information in order to resolve a conflict with an employer, but you always have the choice to keep it confidential.

4. How does OnEmployers determine employers’ reliability?
  • When an employer purchases an OnEmployers package, they are required to fill out a detailed questionnaire regarding their staffing practices. This is a legally binding document ensuring that the employers’ claims are honest and accurate, and that their business is in good standing. In addition, OnEmployers closely monitors all ratings and reviews, especially negative ratings (rating of two or less stars on the rating scale), to ensure all employers continue to operate in an appropriate manner.

5. How do I rate an employer?
  • In order to rate and review an employer, you must be logged in to your OnEmployers account. After logging in, you can click on the Rate and Review employers link in your menu bar and proceed with the rating.

6. Who can I review?
  • You can rate and review any employer whom you have worked for. If the employer you want to review is not already in our database, you are given the opportunity to add and then review them.

7. Who can see my review?
  • After your review is approved and posted, anyone who searches for the employer can see your review.

8. Can I review anonymously?
  • Yes. All OnEmployers reviews are completely confidential. Neither the employer nor other individuals viewing your review will be able to access any of your personal information. Knowing their review will remain anonymous allows employees and candidates to give a more accurate and sincere review.

9. What if the employer I want to review is not listed?
  • If you search for an employer and cannot find them in our database, you will be immediately prompted to request that employer. If you choose to do so, you will be asked to submit as much information about the employer as possible. After doing so, you can rate and review that employer as you normally would.

10. Can I change or remove my review?
  • Once you submit a review, you will not be able to change or remove it from the system. If for some reason you wish to change or remove it, you must contact an OnEmployers administrator.

11. What happens if I give a negative review?
  • Regardless of whether your review is positive or negative, your review will be posted on our website and anybody who searches for that employer will be able to see it. In addition to that, the employer will be notified of receiving a negative review so they can modify their business practices accordingly.

12. What is the failsafe option?
  • At the end of all of our surveys and employee and candidate feedback forms, OnEmployers will ask you if you think there was a legal, ethical or moral issue with the employer you are reviewing. If you check that box, we will contact that employer and inform them of this problem while still keeping your identity cloaked. Informing the employer of the problem allows them to adjust their policies to fix it. This benefits both parties by allowing you and your employer to avoid unpleasant legal action.
